Jean-François TORRE (Bordeaux 1947) FANTASQUE artist.
Jean-François Torre is a modern-day Jérôme Bosch, as his paintings are peopled with strange machines and fantastic characters that testify to his singular universe!
His symbolic, sometimes esoteric creations are tinged with the influence of Paul Klee, Magritte, Chirico, Dali, Picasso and Delaunay, like a thread guiding us...
Since the 80s, he has exhibited at Galerie Christian Siret in Paris and Ateliers Fantasques in Lyon. He has also collaborated on advertising posters, theater sets and a mural for a private mansion.
The works that will be dispersed on the occasion of the sale of his studio collection reflect all the richness of his eclectic and always poetic imagination.
