Fine silk Cashmere India circa 1975/1980 Silk velvet on cotton backing. Design reminiscent of the famous Ardebil carpet (exhibited at the Albert and Victoria Museum in London). Midnight-blue field inlaid with scrolls of fine stems, adorned with a central polychrome starry rosette. Main border with Persian poetic inscriptions. Good condition 185 x 120 cm
