"Arga, La Bayadère" or "Paillettes" (circa 1925-1930)
A chryselephantine sculpture in patinated and enameled polychrome bronze depicting a dancer in motion on one foot, her arms adorned with bracelets, one of her legs raised, her head finely carved in ivory and adorned with earrings, wearing a bustier and sequined pleated skirt, her feet finely carved in ivory, the whole resting on its original stepped base in red-veined Caunes Minervois marble.
Signed on the base in the mass.
