Born in Belfort, Élisabeth Fourcade developed a painting technique based entirely on the use of the knife at the Julian Academy. Her bucolic landscapes have been exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français and Salon d'Automne, as well as in the United States, which is particularly fond of her impressionistic regional motifs.
