Jacques MEUGNIER (Born 1951) Countryside in winter Oil on canvas signed lower left and titled on back 38.5 x 46 cm Active in Paris since the early 1980s, Jacques Meugnier draws most of his pictorial inspiration from the Jeu de Paume museum. In the Impressionist tradition, with echoes of Pissarro, Monet and Sisley, the artist developed a taste for painting from the motif at the Tuileries. With nature as an inexhaustible source of inspiration, Jacques Meugnier's work has been exhibited in the United States, Switzerland and Japan, and has now joined the collections of the Musée Renoir in Cagnes-Sur-Mer.
