Exceptional and important Tapis d'Aubusson (France) circa 1860/1865, Napoleon III period. Needlework, tapestry technique, lined and braided carpet. Ivory field decorated with polychrome scrolls and garlands of flowers framing a large central medallion with a floral crown on a ruby-red background. Beautifully framed with strings of multicolored flowers and foliage. Remarkably fresh colors. Carpet has been cleaned. Good condition Beautiful polychromy 567 x 310 cm
