Carpet from Aubusson (France), Louis Philippe period, circa 1830/1840. Tapestry needlework using wool yarns on cotton backing. Garnet field with foliage scrolls adorned with a very large central ivory medallion with floral crown, inlaid with a second olive-green medallion with polychrome flower bouquets. Four spandrels with multicolored flower compositions. Wide border with polychrome flower garlands. Maintenance restorations. Good condition. 365 x 330 cm
