Exceptional, rare and antique Kachan Mortachem (Iran) workshop of Maitre Mortachemi, late 19th century. Fine kork wool velvet on cotton foundation. Density of approx. 9,000 to 10,000 knots per dm2. Beautiful polychromy. Remarkable finesse. Kachan Mortachem are highly prized on the international market. Good overall condition. Old rose field with large central medallion in the form of a pendant inlaid with a central starry rosette, inlaid with two midnight-blue and coral medallions with polychrome foliage and garlands of flowers, adorned with a crown of starry flowers. Midnight-blue main border decorated in the same way as the central field. 200 x 134 cm
