CHINA, Qing dynasty, circa 1900. Mang-Pao (court coat) in kesi silk with eggplant background, embroidered with silk and gold threads. The five-clawed dragon and the sacred pearl are represented in the clouds and above the tumultuous waves and sacred mountains. Numerous auspicious symbols and characters complete the theme: bat, "Shou" character, etc. Black wild silk sleeves. Blue silk lining. Gilded metal bell buttons. Height: approx. 135 cm. (Good general condition).
