SARYK ENSI silk carpet (Central Asia), early 20th century. A wide border with multicolored stylized trees of life, flanked by two counter-borders with a series of small "Kotchaks" (trophies) framing a rectangular ogival mihrab, with large polychrome cruciform vegetal decoration, set on a trellis of "Kotchaks", supporting a vault with stylized vegetal sowing. Reserve of flowering stems at the base. Multicolored ribbon and interlacing highlights. Warm tones. Elegant ensemble. Silk velvet on silk foundation. Good condition. 145 x 105 cm
