Large and original Bidjar (Iran) mid 20th century. Silky lambswool velvet on cotton backing. Beige field with original composition of stylized roses in garlands and scrolls surrounded by finely drawn foliage framing a large midnight-blue and celadon polylobed central rosette with floral crown. Four spandrels with polychrome floral sprays. Five borders, the main one midnight blue with stylized roses. Good condition 300 x 220 cm
