Exceptional, very important and fine Djaffer late 19th century. High-quality silky lambswool velvet on cotton backing. Brick, ruby and ivory Herati patterned field decorated with four juxtaposed medallions, adorned with two geometrically stylized oil lamps. Four beige spandrels with floral buds in the form of burst stylized diamonds. Seven borders, the main one orange, with interlacing palmettes surrounded by serrated foliage. Density of approx. 7,500 knots per dm2. Natural oxidation and wear 550 x 380 cm
