CHINA, Canton, early 20th century. Pair of baluster vases decorated with court scenes framed by garlands of foliage alternating with flowers, birds and butterflies. Gilded dragons crawl on the shoulders in relief, while lions act as grips on the necks. Flat polylobed lips. Polychrome and gilded enameled porcelain. Height: 31 cm. Chip under the lip of one of the vases.
