Size of the letter 104 x 145 mm "Dear Marguerite, What a look on the opposite side! I have a tight heart and I think of your desolation. Here we understand nothing of this ruin. But we end up being dazed in front of things, facts, acts of which we see neither the reasons, nor the causes, nor the consequences. Marguerite Fournier lived in Marseille, in a small mansion called "La Rose du Ciel" overlooking the Old Port of Marseille and facing the Saint-Victor abbey. Between the two wars, it belonged to Marguerite Fournier and her brother-in-law Hippolyte Ebrard.
